Welcome to Mine Centre Public School

“Empowering Students to Achieve”. “We believe that students are empowered to achieve to their potential when school and community come together to provide learning opportunities, time, resources and instruction in a safe and nurturing environment where students value themselves as learners.”

Boozhoo and Welcome to Mine Centre School

At Mine Centre School, we promote a positive school environment based on trusting and caring relationships.  Our goal is for every student, parent and staff member to love being a part of our school community. Staff are committed to making connections and engaging positively with students each day.  Staff continue to learn and develop knowledge regarding trauma and how trauma informs our practice.  Wellness for students and staff is a priority, especially during these trying times.   Teaching is intentional and flexible, utilizing resources that appeal to our strengths and reflect the culture of our students, our school and our communities.  We promote the love of reading by engaging in a variety of reading practices, school wide challenges, parent involvement activities and home programs.  This year, we look forward to your virtual participation in our school.  Things may look a little differently right now, and at Mine Centre School, we are all pitching in to make this year a great one!! Get involved and participate with enthusiasm in the education of our future leaders.
